CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE(XLPE)INSULATED POWER CABLE
For XLPE insulated power cable, either chemical method or physical method is method is employed to transform the molecular structure of PE from chain into three-dimensional network, i. e. thermo-plastic PE is transformed into thermosetting XLPE. After cross-linking, the thermal and mechanical properties of PE have been greatly improved while its excellent electrical property are still retained.
The maximum permissible operating temperature of the conductor of a XLPE insulated power cable is 900C which is higher than that of paper, PVC or PE insulated power cable. The cable has the advantage of simplicity in construction, lightness in weight, convenience in application besides its excellent electrical, thermal, mechanical and anti-chemical corrosion properties. It can also be laid with no limitation of level difference along the route.
According to the standards of IEC, in the last few years, We have supplied XLPE cables to the Chinese urbon power network reconstruction project, Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing West Railway Station, CCTV Station, Anshun Power Plant, Qinshan Nuclear Power Station, Ertan Hydroelectric Power Station , Beilun Power Plant, Yimin Power Plant, Yangzhou Second Power Plant, Shanghai Subway, Bao Steel Group and Yangzi Petrochemical Company, etc.. 使用特性Operating characteristics
· 工频额定电压U0/U为3.6/6kv～26/35kv。
Rated power-frepuency voltage U0/U: 3.6/6kv～26/35kv.
· 电缆导体的最高允许工作温度：90℃。
Max.admissible operating temperature of the conductor:90℃.
· 短路时（最长时间不超过5s）电缆导体的最高温度不超过2500C。
Max. short-circurt temperature of conductor shall not exceed 2500C.

· 电缆敷设时环境温度应不低于00C。
The ambient temperature under installation should not below 00C.
· 电缆弯曲半径：三芯电缆不小于电缆外径15倍；单芯电缆不小于电缆外径20倍。

电缆额定电压的选择 Voltage designation
· 电缆的额定电压应适合于电缆系统的运行状况，用U0/U（Um）kv表示。
U0－电缆设计用的导体对地或金属屏蔽之间的额定工频电压；
U－电缆设计用的导体间的额定工频电压；
Um－设备可承受的“最高系统电压”的最大值。
The rated voltage of the cable for a given applixation shall be suitable for the operating conditions
in the system in which the cable is used,and is expressed in the form of U0/U（Um）kv
Where:
U0－The rated power-frequency voltage between conductors and earth metallic screen ,for which the cable designed;
U － The rated power-frequency voltage between conductos, for which the cable designed;
Um－ The maximum value of the“highest system voltage”for which the equipment may beused.
